Well, that was a party!

Fit For Felix

Almost 400 guests joined Stuart, Vanessa, and the Fit For Felix team for the Party For Felix last night – an opportunity for a bit of fun and a lot of fundraising. In fact, the event turned out to be so much more than that, as early indications suggest that almost £40,000 has been raised as a result.

Ex-England cricketer and charity auctioneer Ed Giddins kicked things off with the yes/no game, by the end of which one lucky guest was off to Las Vegas! The questions tested everyones general knowledge, with a few fun things thrown in about Stuart and Vanessa. Who knew that Vanessa is allergic to the cat she owns, and that Stuart once delivered 200 pizzas to Richard Branson!

The charity auction saw guests bidding for a host of money-cant-buy lots that had been announced throughout the day on Facebook. They included a luxury weekend at the Monaco Grand Prix, dinner with Chris Robshaw, a poster signed by a host of Wimbledon champions, and tickets for the England v Pakistan One Day International.

Fit For Felix

The evening was brought in to sharp focus with an emotional speech from Stuart. How he kept his cool as he recounted some of the events of the past seven months is a mystery. Well done Stuart! We ended with an amazing set from live band Wonderband, and the chance to be photographed by Kit Fanner of On Location Events, both of whom donated their services for Fit For Felix. Images from the evening are now live here, so get tagging!

Special thanks must go to Richard & Amanda Ankers, Kit Fanner, Ed Giddins, the Hilton Ageas Bowl, and the FFF team. Well done folks!
